apology.... 20 fucking percent.... Lets not forget this... I am not going to let this die... Hope you guys don't either. I can't seem to find my list of senators who voted against it.. or I would include that list in this post. If anyone has it ... lets publish it again. This story must not die.

1. Its a bit more complex than that
No senator voted against the resolution, it was passed by unanimous consent, meaning no one objected to its passage.

However in the end I think there were about 7 or 8 Republican senators who refused to co-sponsor the resolution.

5. Not just racism, but extreme hubris.
Too many people refuse to admit the US could have made mistakes. We seem to be living in a Greek tragedy.

3. They didn't exactly vote against it, just refused to co-sponsor it
It passed on a unanymous voice vote. Several senators for various unstated reasons didn't co-sponsor the bill, and that's being used to say they voted against it. But no one challenged the unanymous approval to actually try to prevent its passage. I don't think it's a mileagable issue.

Not saying I don't agree with your disgust--I certainly do--just that its not going to do much for us.

4. aw, that's not so bad . . .
given that well over 50% have their heads embedded firmly up their butts, it's actually pretty good . . .

(sarcasm off) . . .

6. That's not completely accurate
Nobody voted against the resolution. It passed by unanimous consent. 20 senators did not co-sponsor it.

7. Only 8 failed to co-sponsor it. Sad to say, but it would be progress
