The real cost of the 12 year last throes
Cheney says that the Iraq "insurgency" is in it's last throes. Rumsfield clarifies that the last throes may last 12 years.

Let's take a look at what this 12 year last throe will cost based upon how we've done so far. The data from icasualties.org show that we are averaging 62 soldiers killed and 459 soldiers wounded each month. The data from costofwar.com show that we have spent nearly $180 billion in the first 28 months of this war, or $6.4 billion per month.

Assumming no escalation, what do we have at the end of 12 years?

Dead US soldiers: over 9,200
Wounded US soldiers: almost 68,000
Dollars: almost $1 trillion

For what?

1. to keep the economy going the way it is
oil for transportation, recreation, freight, industrial agriculture, power, heating.

without it nothing moves. the economy collapses, & we're screwed.
