Will Bush be standing in front of an audience mostly of troops for display tonight? I don't know why but I expected a presentation like from the Oval Office - is that not it? It just now occured to me that he might actually be such an asshole that he'd try to somehow duplicate the moment on the Aircraft Carrier. Remember, he and Rove thought that was a GOOD idea.

From cheering on cue to not complaining about the mission, it's perfect. Remember, these troops aren't hated by Bush until they leave the military and start telling the truth and complaining. For now, he appreciates the fact that they can be punished with a prison term for publically doubting him.

I dunno . . . it could happen, I suppose.

We tend to treat Rove as we do Hitler -- an archetypical, super-(supra-?)human being. But he's flesh and blood like the rest of us. Maybe he really and truly is losing it. We'll see.
