Now I truly think he's toast |
CNN just reported on the lack of response of the soldiers. Just polite, they said. Ironic that shark attacks are increasing and * is tanking. Even Paula Zahn is questioning him.

How can they be expected to applaud? |
They are the ones in the trenches! They know how many of their #'s are dying and I am sure they are well aware of what is going on. The troops on the ground hated Clinton for spreading them thin or so I was lead to believe, even though he didn't get them killed. Imagine what they think of Commander Bunnypants and what he has put them through?

3. EXACTLY! My father, in the AF told me that |
in 64, he walked through the snow and ice in North Dakota, to get to meet Johnson, I believe, just to say he was meeting a prez. He also said he was young and dumb. Just so he could tell us kids the story. woohoo dad. Had nothing to do with who Johnson was at the time, Dad just thought it was neat that he was Texan too.

12. the 'war on poverty' remember? |
the war on poverty was johnson's idea, derailed in part by vietnam....the rightwingers then invented the 'war on crime' then war on drugs and so on, careful to never mention the war on poverty.....president johnson was a good guy and your dad was fortunate to have met him (for all you youngsters, president johnson was elected in aftermath of jfk assasination, in 1964, versus barry goldwater...but the increasing debacle of viet nam war ruined all his hopes, the damn war cost so much money johnson quit in 1968 after 4 years..in 1969 appollo 11 landed on the moon) us old geezers remember all this stuff, and it drives me crazy, what could, and should, have been!
