a real suprise. Was it announced ahead of time? I think not.
The element of surprise. Plus his Op-Ed letter to NYT today...he's stepping up to the Plate!

8. He just said we're not there YET, and if Bush follows Kerry's plan
then we'd be able to turn Iraq over quicker.

Kerry's doing the patriotic thing by telling Bush HOW to do what's best in Iraq to lead the US out of there more quickly.

That's what a statesman does. Kerry cares about the troops and taking the targets off their back sooner.

And Kennedy did say it was becoming a quagmire, not there yet, in hopes that Bush alters his policy and his strategy.
