If you got drafted would you go?
I wouldn't. I'd run my ass overseas and never look back. It's not so much I'm afraid of dying, but I refuse to kill for killer. And I also refuse to kill somebody who is of no threat to me

does that make sense?

2. I agree.
And I'll be seeing that band you've got pictured there August 4th. Should be cool. Doesnt hurt that they're playing within walking distance of my place, either.

3. I've already served....
but it sounds like they will make it under 40 to be drafted, but if they tried to draft me I would be gone so fast it will make your head spin.

9. Hell motherfucking NO!
I'll kill myself before I kill for the state, but most likely will end up in jail because I don't have the resources to flee the country.

* has NO FUCKING CLUE what kind of massivecivil unrest we would have if he dared to reinstate the draft. Americans would go en masse into the White House and remove his sorry ass from office.

12. I joined the Navy in 69
and had no regrets about that decision. Plus I used my GI Bill college benefits towards a degree afterwards.

But there is no way I would encourage anyone to join any of the ground forces these days. Wait until this one dies down first or until the Chimp and his junta are gone.

16. HELL YA!

If the NBA makes a boneheaded mistake tonight and thinks that I'm really a 6'7" power forward with a good shooting arm and great potential. I'm so there!

Otherwise... NO.

19. I'm not only a pacifist, I'm also a coward.
It's not death I fear, it's the psychological and spiritual wounds of engaging in warfare I consider unjust.

21. Canada has agreed to extradite draft dodgers back to the US
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 09:27 PM by David Dunham
Draft dodgers will end up in US jails. It's better to say you're gay (even if it's a lie) and get out of the draft.

Then go to their induction center with a note from my doctors. There is no way in hell that I would ever be put into service unwillingly, or willingly for that matter.

Then again...better free medical care in prison than out here.
