anyone for "we can't just pull out" |
|
should either volunteer or have their children or grandchildren enlist
If Congress or any person is unwilling to do that, then their words are just plain bull shit
No one in Congress should have voted the authority for * to go into Iraq, unless they were willing to send their children

1. That's just plain silly |
|
I'm too old to enlist and I don't have anymore control over what my adult children do than I do over what you do.

2. Sorry, but unless you are willing to commit your own children to a war |
|
then it is not worth it
especially a war that was NOT for our security, wmds, or related to 9/11
Remember Viet Nam, the killing stopped when we left

At this point in time it doesn't matter how long we stay. The end will be the same. Iraq will either implode or it will not. It doesn't matter what we do. What does matter is whether the Iraqis want to live in their country in peace. THAT is up to them. NOT us.
Anyone who supports this freakin' invasion needs to pack their bags and go nosh on a few rotten meals that Halliburton will serve up.

4. yup, by doing what we have done |

we have effectively taken a brutal secular country and will eventually convert it to an Islamic country, probably just as brutal, and Iran will probably end up controlling it
It would be wise, though it won't happen, if we would open a dialogue with Iran

Who are those people? They must be either too young to remember Vietnam, or were too old to fight the first time around.
God damned chickenhawks.

8. We can not just abandon it. |

Its called developing a full fledged STRATEGY. The republicans can't do it because most of them are assholes lately. The democrats can do it if they just listen to their CONSTITUENTS.
I personally propose Kerry's plan but with more than ONE exception. Fully investigate (*leading to prosecution*) of downing street minutes, fully withdraw troops from the Oil fields and let the Iraqis have their resources back, and outline a plan to bring in extra coalition forces and technology to begin getting troops HOME.
That is IT. And at the same time have Boxer and someone else make sure the VERIFIED VOTING law passes AND is ratified!!!!!!
