Bush insulted our intelligence again
Again with "stay the course" in Iraq? It would have been nice for Bush to share with us what the "course" is or what steps need to be taken to complete the "course."

He also changed his story again re: why we are there. Anybody notice?

Apparently the main reason why we are there isn't because Iraq posed a "growing danger," because it had WMD, or or even to "liberate the Iraqi people" (who, as I recall, never asked us to liberate them). Nope the rationale du jour for the invasion is to wipe out the "hotbed" of terrorism which never existed till we went into Iraq and created it.

How stupid does Bush think we are?

The sad thing is that the RW talk radio minions, Fox, and the rest already decided before the speech to present it as brilliant and historic. And despite what Bush actually said (and didn't say), they will all stick to the script.

1. Even if you LIKE the shrub, how could you call this speech brilliant or
historic, when it simply rehashes the same lame rhetoric without anything new?

4. Lucky pointed out the new part
now Iraq is a hotbed of terrorism that we have to wipe out. He's counting on the historic American short memory span to NOT REALIZE that we created that hotbed.

6. The REALLY sad thing
I feel sorry for that well-sceened bunch of soldiers Bush used as props tonight. Even that hand-picked crowd seemed to have problems mustering a enthusiasm for Bush's speech in many places. Several "applause lines" fell flat even with them.

2. Stay the course means
The big defense contractors/oil interests rake in the big bucks while our troops get slaughtered.

3. Isn't that akin to the kid who kills his parents and then asks the court
for mercy since he is an orphan?

Nope the rationale du jour for the invasion is to wipe out the "hotbed" of terrorism which never existed till we went into Iraq and created it.

if wasn't so stupid.

I don't think the American public is buying it. The Moonie eyed are glaring back these days. It's all a matter of time, and time is on our side. Not even 5 months in and he's looking down the Lame duck barrel

8. Democratic ME
Doesn't it work better if you put the McDs inside the mosque? They might have issues with the McRib Deluxe though.
