What's next for the Chimp?

Do you think the Media and the true Republicans are ready to dump the NeoCons?

13. We really need to keep pounding away now

It seems to me the Democrats have a strategy that works.

Like him or not, and I do, DEAN did a hell of a lot. He showed the Democrats that they can not be wimps,we are a smaller(according to the Fraud elections) but Mighty Force.

5. One would hope.
However, I think it may take a little longer. Just a little longer. A person can only hit themselves in the head so many times before it starts to hurt! I think some of our brighter repubs are realizing that.

7. Well Nightline was far less into the chearing
than usual... and boy I have nto watched it in over a year... but they are not asking enough questions yet

On the plus side Conyer's hearing at the basement happened, (they showed tape) but were somewhat dismissive...

10. If Nightline is indicative of the rest of the media's assessment...
Shrub is in a heap of trouble, IMO. I couldn't believe my ears when that anchor said "When the president says that he's been making significant progress on the ground...is he TELLING THE TRUTH?" Holy crap!

8. Well..
Im waiting to see what the hell is going on with Cheney and if anyone pulls a JFK on Bush.

Bush is just a puppet. I dont know that the neocon movement that has been building for all of these years is going to let one man or the dsm take it down.

12. Bush could indeed be knocked out of the way.
The damn idiot was just a pawn for a bunch of sick twisted psychos, he got to kill his daddy's opponent out of it.

Bush has been used up like a stupid cloth...Wolfowitz and the rest have always wanted to destroy Iraq and remake it their nation.

11. Nope... we have to wait until the '06 elections
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 03:14 AM by Blasphemer
Too much can happen between now and then (and I'm setting aside questions of how much the elections can be trusted because it makes too many arguments moot). They are scurrying now but they have the cover of an unpopular Prez to explain it away (and if Bush has a sudden reversal of fortune they won't have strayed very far). If a year and a half from now, the GOP suffers major defeats at the polls, the Neocons won't go away but they will have to find better puppets to hide behind and the rest of the GOP will be reeling with 2 years to 1)get back in the public good graces and 2)keep the Clintons out of the WH. The neocons would be neutered but (like the Fundies) they will be around for a long time.

15. Wait is not in my vocabulary , we have too much work to do

IMO, the NeoCons were not simply waiting until the next election, they were pounding us in the darkness for years.
