Would it be worth it, to kill one....
....to save a thousand?

If you say yes, would it be worth killing your own son/daughter to save a thousand?

2. Jeez...
easy tiger...

For the greater good, would it be justified to kill one person to save a thousand people. IF the answer to this question is 'yes', would you then be prepared, for the purpose of greater good, be ready to sacrifice your own son/daughter to save a thousand lives?

3. Your question does not deserve an answer
and has nothing to do with making war.

5. ok I will rephrase your question
is it worth to let one die so others may live?

If you are talking about hypotheticals such as this one... well here lies the secret of military and civlian triage...

And no, for those of us who have actually played the role of triage officers, this ain't theoretical for we have let some die so others may live.

12. hey they can use you back
aparently you can avoid being chained to anything... if not you can pass the info along... sorry, we are good at spoting the talkng points...

By the way, you completely missed the point about triage... speaks volumes when you are comparing triage to the Red Army of WW II... funny at multiple levels

6. I am not a 'dude'
and your hypothetical question is silly and perhaps only fitting to be asked in some dead end college course.

trust me, I have been that triage officer and played god... the decisions at times still haunt me... but for him this is hypothetical...

17. I'll answer your question.
Of course it is better for one to die so thousands can live. But what guarantee do you put on that? I mean after you've killed this one person or your son/daughter, can you guarantee the sacrifice will result in the savings of thousands? Of course you can not, and there in lies the real issue.
