7. I'm having a hard time
getting that thought out of my mind. Few things could sum up the problems that our legislative branch of government as well as this. Sometimes I assume that our elected officials have the knowledge that allows them to make either good or bad choices. This blows that out of the water, doesn't it? These people, who have the responsibility to make important decisions that effect people around the globe, are in the dark. That is inexcusable.

4. Or does not want to know....another war crime in the making, you know.
This is definitely a WMD and they have hidden the reports on the effects since GW1. I am pretty sure he knows EXACTLY what it is.

6. leesa I know you are right. My point is show how Democrats
are just as guilty of these crimes, and the cover-up. Very disheartening.

10. Are You Suprised? Shit, Almost No One Knows What It Is
Dam near no one knows what it is and why its used. By the way, you seem to be overreacting to its use yourself. You would receive a greater radiation exposure from the concrete by walking from the Supreme Court Building to the White House than you would from spent bullits made from depleted Uranium in any similar area of land mass on earth, including any heavily shot up area in Iraq.

11. I just watched that
He never said he didn't know what depleted uranium was, he said that he didn't know if it was still being used today.

I am glad you pointed that out...
he did appear to feign a lack of knowledge about it, and later he said what you posted. So rather than people here writing him off, let him know that it should not be used at all and that he needs to be clear in that!

15. He couldn't answer, or refused to answer the question
He has an obligation to know and respond. Being a democrat used to mean something positive.

16. Trust me when I tell you
That I am NOT defending him. I was screaming at the TV that it didn't matter whether it was still being used, the thing is that it should never be used at all. I just wanted to point out that he never said he didn't know what it was.

12. He should read this:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/MOR407A.html

"Since 1991, the United States has staged four wars using depleted uranium weaponry, illegal under all international treaties, conventions and agreements, as well as under the US military law. The continued use of this illegal radioactive weaponry, which has already contaminated vast regions with low level radiation and will contaminate other parts of the world over time, is indeed a world affair and an international issue."

14. Meek holds a "legacy " seat in Congress from his mom
there are several black (AND white) dynasties in congress. the ford family in tennessee, the meek family in florida, the mckinney family in georgia, the jones family in north carolina, and many others who i have forgotten.

why blame meek? he is just doing the family business. and it illustrates the real working engine of america. it is not competence, it is "connections."

we do not have a meritocracy we have a "shmoozocracy."

its not what you know, its who you know that counts.

its why C-Plus Augustus rules today.
