Attn Bush: Calling it "September The Eleventh" does sound "educated".
It irks me every time he says that. . . as though he's talkin' like one'ah them fancypants learnin' guys that used to teach those class-things he went to at Yale. Er, Harvard. Er, Yale. Whatever. Beerland.

2. The next time he says that, someone needs to respond:
"Two thousand and one? So we've missed bin Laden for FOUR years now?"

5. There is a faction of right-wingers
who blather on about how saying 9/11 is somehow disrespectful, and should be framed in a more lofty manner.

I remember reading a lot of LTTE where these folks went on at length.

I think Bush is toadying up to those folks. It's funny how RWers think they never attempt to enforce political correctness.

9/11, it is what it is.

7. It's the "signature accomplishment" of his presidency
in more ways than one, so he probably figures he can call it whatever he damn well pleases.

10. I once listened to the chimp start to call it...
"The September 11th" once and since they have changed the wording.

"The" indicates a different thought proccess from the rest of america about 9-11. I have never heard another person say it this way.
