Senate is voting on Boxer amendment to ban testing of pesticides on
humans, including pregnant women, "neo-nates" (babies) and also "uncertain neonates" (sick babies). I can't believe they have to even vote on this. Except for a few, republicans want the testing on humans to be done!?

1. Incredible that this amendment has been accepted by Delay, but still some
Republicans in the Senate will oppose it.

It is amazing that there are senators more sold to the pesticide industry that he is. That should tell us something on these senators.

5. As long as they don't test on those smears of cells that are so precious!
You know, embryos. Once humans are born they become "evil" because of the sins of Adam. So, human beings are so much fodder until the opportunity to exploit one comes along, as with Terry Schiavo. Then, no amount of facts can sway these staunch lovers of human life from their appointed duties.

7. Here's the Senate's webpage record of the roll call
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=1&vote=00162

The usual suspects like Frist, Lott, and Santorum voted no. And my beloved tweedledee and tweedledumbfuck delegation from Kansas both voted no. Interestingly our buddy Chuckie Hagel voted no. So the next time someone regards him as a thoughtful moderate who could be our ally against the scourge of neoconservatism, remind that person that Chucky-boy believes in testing pesticides on humans.
