Just had to say it or my head was about to explode.

The continually repeated and totally disingenous assertion that our illegal assault on a sovereign nation which was in relative compliance with the UN and was completely contained, has increased our security at all has annoyed me to no end since I first heard it. It bothers me far more than the 9/11 /Iraq connection because it minimizes the inherent value of Iraqi lives. How dare we trash the cradle of civilization wherein there were more PHD's per capita than we have here to loot and contaminate and destroy their lives only in order to enrich further our cabal of war profiteers.

Does this really bother anyone else ?

All war is terrifying and no one can possibly win a war waged against an "abstract noun."

of last week suggesting that liberals would wanted to understand the nature of the conflict versus the conservative blunder big stick "diplomacy" of wasting lives and money assaulting a country on bogus premises, with no respect, cultural, historical understanding, fluency, or exit strategy was an unfathomable blunder of monumental proportions.

That our culture largely accepts this rationale makes me very, very sad.
