Major League Baseball gets an exemption from the United States’ antitrust laws. Frankly, I don’t have much of a problem with that. It’s not like MLB is going to farm out jobs to foreigners or charge unreasonably high prices… well, not more than they usually do. Still, no harm, no foul.
Now it seems that the powers-that-be are considering taking away MLB’s antitrust exemption… because of liberals. Not because of steroids or labor relations or anything that might remotely matter, but because of liberals. George Soros, our very own left-wing Daddy Warbucks (or Rupert Murdoch, but I don’t want to insult George like that), is considering buying the Washington Nationals.
