Schwartzenneger: Dem savior in California????
I'm sure I got the spelling wrong.

First off, I think Davis beats the recall. I'm betting on the ability of the California voter to smell a rat and want to return to normal and let the guy do his job.

BUT, lets say the Terminator splits the vote with this McClintock fellow and Bustamante ends up winning if Davis loses. Doesn't this make you think a bit?

Ok, the Terminator is married to a Shriver who happens to be a Kennedy. His economic advisor is a hardcore Dem. Even Rob Lowe jumped in looking for a piece. Think of this: Arnold is related, closely, by marriage, to Ted Kenneddy. TK (As I affectionately call him during our nightlong scotch drinking contests) is currently Bush's MOST MASSIVE and outlandish critic.

Coincidence?

Probably, but I'm just thinking again.

1. Wait...
So you're saying Ahnold is our mole in their camp? Would this be a self-inflicted conspiracy theory? I'm not buying it. The Gropenator's been openly GOP since the Reagan Administration. I doubt Rose Kennedy was planting 20 year Manchurian candidates in the GOP back in the 70s when the Schwarzenneggars first hooked up.

I believe in conspiracies, but not dumb ones.

3. I think there is a reason that Simon and McClintock won't drop out
Because they would rather have Davis or Bustamente keep the seat than to have Arnold win it. If Arnold wins, that makes it tougher for them to run in 2006 since they'll have to beat the incumbant during the primaries. If Davis wins it's an open seat and if Cruz wins I see him as a liability in 2006. So instead they're staying in the race and adding some money to their campaign chests for 2006
