Hey, I have an idea: let's muddy the waters.
The repubs. inundate the dialogue with lies, distortions, and non-sequitors. They want you to say, "Well, I guess you really can't say for sure if Saddam and 9/11 were linked." Once they have created a pervasive ambiguity, then they hit you with their "moral clarity." Black and white, with us or against us. But the moral clarity is only the payoff. The real game is in the obfuscation. They make the public completely unsure of the facts, then give them a sense of intellectual security, something tangible. The reasons for war may be complicated (they're not), but our response to it MUST NOT be ambiguous.

The create/fabricate the complicated and then supply the clarity.

This, by the way, was THE playbook they used for the media onslaught in the 2000 (s)election. There was no objective truth to be had in looking at those ballots. Imagine that, the repubs. taking a page right out of the hermeneutics of literary critics.

1. Yes - they will stop at nothing to change the facts to untruths. And
they normally do that by attacking our strengths.
