CSPAN: Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) & callers destroying Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) |
|
Marsha is defending Gitmo, bashing Pelosi and defending the 9-11=Iraq "theory."
Loretta said that CA contributes the MOST troops to the Armed Forces (all branches.) Loretta says that 9-11 had NOTHING to do with Iraq.
Angry callers.

|
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 07:30 AM by ElectroPrincess
Keeps on point how us bad ole' Democrats should just shut up and do everything our Dear Leader says. Otherwise we are not Good Americans.
Man, Marsha B. is a piece of work ... and not all that bright.
Oh shit, she just said, "We need to defend FREEDOM."
Nonsensical jingoistic broad. :P

2. I liked the stuff about special things for the people like newsmen |
|
I have read that before. That they even travel in 'safe' tank like truck and not the same as the service men travel in. It is a white wash just like they did in Nam. I love Loretta as she just will say it.

were trying to kill us. We may never know how many are actually innocent and picked up by mistake, or how many were not terrorists but simply trying to defend themselves from what they saw as an invasion.

she channels Rove effortlessly. How did she get elected; did she promise to bring morality to Washington? As far as I'm concerned, she's as much of a war criminal as Bush* is.

I graduated from Wellesley quite a while ago and when I went back a few years ago to take part in a panel discussion I met several Republican students who's Daddies had trained them in Repukespeak. Even a high IQ is not a guarantee against brainwashing.

8. Where do these koolaide drinkers get their evil nature |
|
One just used the tired old argument that we treat our prisoners better than those inhumane savages.
They specifically said that they'd like to see all the detainees at GITMO dropped off in California.
Yeah, that's really patriotic. What a nasty woman. :(

11. Why they're so mean: they're threatened by those not like them. |
|
Maybe it's because WASPs in the South in particular feel threatened by the changing demographics of the USA, the Americas and the world. Speaking as a Southern WASP I can testify to the mindset of theis type of blonde, Southern, conservative woman. I have many realtives just like her. :(

9. i just love loretta sanchez... |
|
 she's such a bright spirit. dems need to identify ever-more concise & lucid speakers like her & put them out front where they belong. sanchez had 'marsha, marsha, marsha' in that republican-fetal defensive, arms folded position @ the end and rightly so
it's becoming so tired watching republicans regurgitate their failed talking points while they continue to act as though that will be enough to hypnotize the nation beyond their kook fringe

13. Unfortunately, my congresscritter(John Barrow ) is no Loretta Sanchez. |
|
He's a Dem under fire (and already redistricted for 2006 by Sonny Perdue and the GA Bu$shco gang (Zell Miller, Ralph Reed, Sen. Saxy Cambliss and Sen. Johnny Isakson) and he's voting with the condervatives much of the time in order to have any chance of winning re-election.
A caller just asked: Aren't we ashamed of ourselves (for allowing 1,000s of Iraqis to die)?

when they get like that (or maybe they're like that all the time) republicans have those tiny little pupils in the eyes, like they're high on dope, or shell-shocked; they're spring loaded, like they're tweaking  but most of the time they can't wait so they just talk right over the top of people with their gibberish as though that might win some argument shouting down their opposition which is by the by growing.
i just them unscrupulous 'thinkers' in spite of their professed high level of self esteem

10. How Can You Defend Torture? |
|
Is it not torture when the person you are interogating is a Moslem? Has a beard? Speaks Arabic? It's so disengenuous how these Repugnican hacks paint such broad strokes with such little idea of what they're talking about.
Sanchez was great in using the Michael Dukakis approach...asking Blackburn (I sure hope she hasn't reproduced) if it were her son, how would she react to having that child locked away and with no way for her to find out what happened to him. Blackburn not only couldn't answer the question, she tries to interupt Loretta from even finishing the question. Sheesh.
So someone riddle me this...when we detain and screw around with these people, this is making us safer? The blood of any American that's tortured is on Blackburn's hands.
I've seen this barbie-doll read DeLay speeches on the House floor. I guess they need to put the babes on the tube...do the cute little smile...and try to fool the sheeple that way.

That's why I love DU! This super koolaid drinker (Marsha) only regurgitated talking points and could not think by herself. The stupid republican calls really bolstered her account. Loretta did great and also told Marsha that of course it was a dog and pony show at Gitmo when observers showed up. Sanitized, to the hilt.

She is amazing. Of course Gitmo was a dog & pony show when the congressmen went down there. Why would any sane person assume otherwise? Geez.
I'll have to send loretta an e-mail or call her office and let her know this Georgian supports her!
