Margaret Carlson - keep this up, and I MAY, just MAY forgive you
for the way you jumped on the RW bandwagon, trashing Clinton and Gore.

Washington's Do-Nothing Patriots

They save the flag; everything else is on a back burner.

His response to the fresh wave of carnage in Iraq was to take to the airwaves Tuesday night in a PR effort designed, White House senior advisor Dan Bartlett said, to "educate the American people" about "our strategy for victory." How about educating the president?

The soldiers at Ft. Bragg know better. They know Americans were not greeted as liberators in Iraq, and the rosy, unfounded assumptions that they would be created the catastrophe now killing their buddies.

If Bush had given that same myopic speech before Congress, there would have been at least 10 standing ovations, led by armchair patriots waving the flag.

Congress is proof of Samuel Johnson's adage that patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels. Look at one of the flag amendment's loudest and proudest cosponsors, Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham.

The Republican congressman from San Diego is under FBI scrutiny for a questionable real estate deal with a defense contractor, in which he made $700,000. "Ask the men and women who stood on top of the Trade Center," Cunningham said. "Ask them and they will tell you: Pass this amendment."

4. she's slowly making amends
I have to give her credit -- altho I think she's just shifting with the wind.

and that wind is AWAY from the republicans.

Look at the disgusting title of this book she wrote a couple years back:

8. I still remember her look of absolute joy after Bush's
convention speech. I was horrified and she was glowing with pride. I am not sure I can forgive her too easily.

7. Wake Up Maggie...
She's been on a roll lately. She was ready to pounce, instead of cry all over Novakula in the late Crapitol Gang and seems to have been "liberated" now that she's not having to play left wing punching bag on that network.

Actually she's been critical of this regime for quite some time and was one of the few voices that could at least stand up to the right wing hacks. Just as much as Democrats tell Repugnicans to get over the Clenis, Democrats have to do so for the few who got all wound up over Clenis as well but now stand against this regime and have a voice.
