If Osama had been captured, where would we be today? |
|
Would that not have de-legitimized the reasons for going into Iraq to a large degree? And how demoralized would the "terrorists" have been knowing that their leader had been captured? If we had then put the same effort into Afghanistan that we put into Iraq, would not the so-called "war on terror" have been over by now? But, they did not want to capture Osama because they knew that would more or less end their "war". As long as Osama is alive and free, they can continue their propaganda war against the people of this country and the world.

1. They would need a new boogie man |

a new face of fear.
Oh, and their buddies the Saudis would probably not be happy, since the Wahabbists would be railing against them.

You think the BFEE/PNAC is going to capture, or even make an effort to capture the King-Of-All-Fear? Not on your LIFE. As long as he's sipping margaritas and not in a jail cell where he belongs, they OWN the populace.
Only NOW is everyone starting to rise from their slumber . . .

would be different.
They would find a new bogey man and the compliant media and fear-addled population would march off to the latest crusade.
Remember Noriega, Saddam, Ayatollah Khomeini and so on and so on and so on...
War is the lifeblood of the authoritarian state. Welcome to USA Corp.
...and remember to wave that flag on July 4th.
