Kerry campaigning for Diane Feinstein (Dino-CA)
I personally hope that we in CA can find another candidate to beat her in the primaries. I cant beleive that Kerry is puffing up DiFi. Feinstein and her hubby are making bucks from this war.
Sorry John, I want her OUT!

Dear maveric

We have less than 12 hours to give Senator Dianne Feinstein's re-election campaign an enormous boost.

The critical June 30th fundraising deadline arrives at midnight tonight. I'm urging you and other committed California Democrats to act. Rush an immediate donation to the Feinstein campaign.

http://www.dianne2006.com/a/03

Senator Feinstein has been a courageous leader for the people of California and America. Whether it's working to make America safer at home and abroad, combating crime and violence, or protecting our natural resources, Senator Feinstein is a leader the people of America can count on.

With potential vacancies to the Supreme Court looming on the horizon, I am dedicated to doing whatever I can to keep leaders like Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate. We're dedicated to pulling out all the stops to help Senate candidates like Dianne Feinstein who are on the Republicans' list to try and defeat.

You can help keep America's promise right here at home in California by acting today to keep Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate.

For twelve years now, Dianne has been a forceful, independent voice for California. We need that voice in the Senate now more than ever.

http://www.dianne2006.com/a/03

Don't hesitate for a moment. With the deadline fast approaching, it's vitally important that you act.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

11. God, I wish she would
I hate to see an ugly primary fight, but we need a better Senator. I know I have better people to give my money to, even if they're in another state.

6. Not yet but I like Juan Vargas. He's a state rep from San Diego
http://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a79/biography.htm

Harvard educated, bright, young, handsome. Was a San Diego city counsellor for years and one of the few who actually stirred up the shitpot and got things done.

I've been writing him e-mails about the possibility of him running against DiFi. No replies yet.

3. No Democrat will campaign against a sitting Dem Senator or congressperson.
Not even the furthest left lawmaker would.

Hey, wait! Can you hear that? That chirping in the distance? Kerry's telling us all his stance on same-sex marriage! Phew! I'm relieved.

8. Her "precious" assault weapons ban???
What the hell is wrong with the assault weapons ban??? We all needed new AK-47s, I know. :eyes:

22. The AW ban had nothing to do with real AK-47s
It only restricted certain mainly cosmetic features on some types of semiautomatic firearms.

A true AK-47 is capable of fully automatic fire and is therefore regulated under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Expiration of the federal AW ban did not make them any more available than they were before or during the 10-year feature moratorium.

9. Well then she's going to be waiting around a long time
Not under this president and this Congress. Only California and New York Democrats want that foolish and politically suicidal bill renewed.

12. She tried to keep George Moscone alive
She had her hands inside his body. I don't like her, but I stand by her on this one.

7. I voted for her in my first election in1994
and she had a tough race that year against Zero Huffington, but pulled it out. I don't live in California anymore, but I would vote for someone else in the primary if I could, but vote for her in November. When it comes time for the November election, then it's time to be a grownup and end flirtations with third party silliness.

10. No surprise here
They are in the same status quo clique.

I lived in SF until 1996. I'd had enough of her and her war profiteering husband, Blum back then.

13.  I think we should
worry about Feinstein later. It's not worth diverting money to a race we can win easily when there are harder battles being faught. Besides we're never going to convince the establishment to dump her.

14. Didn't her husband
donate to Bush?

I can't think of a senator with less of an excuse for her miserable vote record. She comes from a relatively liberal sstate, yet votes for so much of Bush's agenda, including his first major legislative victory - his tax cuts.

His company gave a considerable amount to the Bush campaign. War profiteers know which side their bread is buttered on.

16. So what! Exactly, what is the big deal?
You people are funny! Would you have him campaign for Republicans. She may not be the best Dem senator in your opinion, but she is a Democratic senator none the less, and it is never a good thing to refuse to support a fellow democrat. He has campaigned for Hillary Clinton and also for Bob Casey in Pa who is running against Santorium. He may have also lent his support to other Dems. I don't know. So, you all are going negative on him simple because he is being a Supportive democrat?

17. What's wrong with him being supportive of other Dems?
I don't agree with her votes either, but that doesn't mean we should eat our own. This is why the Dems will continue to lose elections. The Dems need unity, but unfortunately, some people will always complain when Kerry or some other good dem gets in on the act.

DiFi would not be in the Senate today if Twinkies did not exist. Think about it.
