I don't think Bush gives a rat's ass about Christianity, Islam or any
religion per se. The only reason he puts on this front about religion is to get a fundamentalist base for his plans. He doesn't give a rat's ass about abortion, economics, war, peace or any issues that matter. He is in it for stoking his megalomania.Everything else does not matter to him.

3. As I mentoned Before
It is the Neocons agenda to USE religion as a tool to control unwarned mass behaviour. The Necons are not religious in any aspect but are aware of the power of religion to obtain their objective.

8. power, yes
and it looks ultra bad when anyone disagrees with religious leaders. what people don't realize is that religious leaders are human beings. over the years we've seen the mighty fall... televangelist adulterers to Catholic priest pedophiles. that hasn't served to tarnish their power over people. sort of like all the rubbish * has done that has failed to diminish his power.

12. You are completely correct...
It is also the agenda of the so-called Religious Right "reverends" like Dobson, Kennedy, Robertson, Falwell and the rest - their idea of Christianity uses religion to the same ends. They've evidently figured out how to get a camel through the eye of a needle...

4. Yes and no
I think he has a shallow idea about how religion has justified him in doing what he is doing. But I think he's probably lived a whole life doing what ever he wanted and assuming it was the right thing to do or ok, and that people who disagree with him are beneath him. I don't think his shallow religious beliefs have created that mindset, but I think they have certainly strengthened it.

13. That's true
I was talking mostly about just him. I think the Administration as a whole isn't that religious or aren't motivated by religion, anyway.

6. They should all read Steven Wohlberg's End Time Delusions
www.aloha.net/~mikesch/antichrist.htm

which shows that the 'futurist' interpretation of the 'end times' requires a Third Temple, and is bound to upset the Islamic world. The recent writings of George Monbiot and Chris Hedges should wake people up to this fact.

7. That was his whole reason for being 'born again' A Rove plan...
... for his bid for TX Gov. and eventually his run for the presidency. He's a phony bastard, and so many fall for it. Amazing.
