Warren Buffett on Ebay? You gotta see this

Bidding is at $250,100 now.

WARREN BUFFETT will host a lunch to benefit the Glide Foundation and its programs. The lunch will be up for bid on eBay beginning June 23rd, 2005 at 7:00 pm PT and close June 30th, 2005 at 7:00 PT. Mr. Buffett will dine with the winning bidder and up to seven friends in either New York or Omaha on a mutually agreed upon date.
Proceeds from the winning bid will benefit the Glide Foundation, one of the most comprehensive service providers working with the poor and homeless in San Francisco. Mr. Buffett will sit down with the highest bidder and up to seven of your friends for lunch. A mutually agreed upon date, time and place for the lunch, in either Omaha or New York, will be selected by Mr. Buffett and the winning bidder. All bidders must pre-qualify. Bidding starts at $25,000.

The winning bid will be announced on June 30th, 2005 at the Best of the Bay Area Gala hosted by San Francisco magazine to benefit Glide.

As I recall, the lunch hasn't gone for less that a quarter mil.

whn you figure 1 share in Berkshire Hathaway is around 87k, a piece of Mr Buffet ain't gonna be cheap.

He better be offering soem good stock tips at this lunch tho.


*lol* actually from what i can tell he seems like he would make interesting company.

4. Cecil Williams and Glide are marvelous!
Rev. Cecil runs an amazingly effective 'mission' in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. The people working in that program are truly marvelous. Bless Warren!
