Did Rummy cry today?
I was rushing out earlier today just as CNN was showing a clip of Rummy getting "emotional" during his session today. He muttered something about always telling the truth. Did he shed tears? Whine? What?

1. I didn't see it, but now I have to know?
Senator Kerry: "Mr. Rummy, is it true you comb your hair with bacon?"

2. I saw it, and I would say he looked "photogenically sad" -if you know
what I mean-when he was queried about the similarities to Vietnam, and whether Iraq was another Vietnam. It was a big fat put on.:puke:

3. I didn't see that, but...
... I saw Fritz Hollings breaking one off in his ass about post-war failures, due to a lack of planning, etc. :D

10. Fritz is an odd guy.
I mean, he does this kind of thing, and thumps BushCo for "cash and carry" antics with Enron - but he supports the so-called "Trusted Computing Platform Alliance"...?

What up with that?

4. I feel sorry for the guy.
He isn't a neocon. He was a decent secretary of defense under Ford. I just think he's a senile dude being manipulated by Wolfowitz, Perle, and the other neocon PNACers.

5. Bullshit.
And that ends the in-depth, well-thought-out rebuttal from Richardo.

6. Hey, you can visit him in prison!
No offense. Rummy is a charter member of PNAC. Check out the website. It's right there.

Peace

8. Don't feel too sorry, he is the driving force
behind the privatization of support services to the troops. He left our guys out there in the heat with just a little over a liter of hot water per day.

11. If he really was crying...
...it's probably because he missed the opportunity to run over a baby squirrel on his drive to work. It's nice to believe that underneath his Darth Vader-esque exterior that a human heart still beats, but it just ain't so. The man is evil incarnate.

15. long overdue
I really enjoyed seeing Donald Bloodlust Rumsfeld loose his composure. It was almost as thrilling as the interview he did with Dan Rather.

16. What was the actual exchange? A few details here?
For those of us who missed it--I heard a little of Byrd on the radio, but I didn't catch any of this bit. Byrd accused him of lying and he cried...?

23. Shed no tears for this man.
This is a man that, the more you learn about him, the scarier he becomes.

I have researched this dude because he represents a complete enigma to me. He uses flowery language, creative adjectives when he talks, wows reporters with his finesse. At the same time, he belongs to many shady organizations which are involved with arms sales, white supremacy, and of course the PNAC. He flies all over the world to supply arms to dictators, and cause insurgencies in general.

He is most definitely a, if not THE driving force behind the war in Iraq. Don't let his age fool you. He is as hard as ever. He gets a hard-on at the thought of killing LOTS of people, preferably with tanned skin.

At the same time, he'll sit with his little feather plume pen and concoct poetry. Without a doubt THE most scary man of the bunch.
