Have the republicans done anything in Washington DC...
...during the past two weeks, passed any meaningful legislation, taken any steps to move the country one way or another?

I get the feeling our ship of state is caught in a turbulent current and is being jostled about aimlessly without a ship's pilot, without a main rudder, taking orders from a drunken delusional captain.

We shall be conquered from within and destroyed by the decay and corruption we ourselves have allowed to fester. Too bad.

3. Repugs rarely act for the overall good or in the spirit of the general
welfare doctrine, so the less they the better.

4. Rather than get things done...
They've been departing from the common practice of the past 40 years by trying to ramrod unaccaptable candidates past the promised filibusters of the minority party.

Rather than acknowlege the threatened filibusters and move on to less partisan and more likely to move items, they choose to turn Congress and the Senate into traffic jam.

5. Sure they have
1. They've declared all Democrats traitors
2. They've said the state should keep one dead woman alive but that dying living people should just get on with it.
3. They've said ethics rules apply to Democrats, not to them.
4. They've protected the sanctity of every one else's marriage.

And ever so many more things.

What more could you want?

8. They voted for pay increases for themselves... while passing CAFTA.
And as only one of them voted NAY for the raises, I will not vote anymoe. They're not worth our time. I am boycotting a corrupt system by not voting; I'd rather go out on a date with a member of the opposite sex. (and I don't)
