Marist Poll: Dean leads Kerry by 12-points, Clark in third
A new Marist Poll taken between Sept 22-23--after Wesley Clark entered the race indicates that Clark has sprung up to third place in NH but that Howard Dean's lead in the state over both is in the double digits.

Dean: 35%
Kerry 22%
Clark 11%
Lieberman: 6%
Edwrds 4%
Gep: 3%
Sharpton 1%
Braun 1%
Graham 1%
Kucinich 1%
undecided 15%

Among Democrats only Dean leads Kerry and Clark by 36/24/8
Among Independents Dean leads Kerry and Clark 34-19-13.

If Hillary Clinton got into the race Dean would continue to lead the
race in NH
Dean: 28%
Clinton: 21%
Kerry: 15%
Clark 9%

1. Wow! No Time to Coast, Though...
A lot can happen in the next few months. Exciting stuff, but there's way more to do (and give).

9. absolutely
we can't let up. I think that Dean can get nearly unstoppable momentum if he wins Iowa and New Hampshire. We need to keep working hard.

2. Thanks for the info, CMT
they point out that they asked registered Dems and Independants who expressed an interest in the Dem primary.

This is good news for Dean.

3. this is two polls I've seen today with Dean in the lead
does this mean he's the front-runner again? As Buzzflash would say, "just asking":)

7. I think Clark will move up
but he may never catch Dean. That's fine with me. I consider Dean, Kerry and Clark our top three candidates (no offense to anyone who favors someone else :) )

14. that sucks
looks like Clark didn't take too much away from Dean

at least it's good that Gephardts campaign is fizzling. He was at 12 percent there a couple polls ago

:D

on edit: if Clark can pull out a third place in NH and/or Iowa, he will have the MO going into the Big One.
