Did Bush Ever Prosecute The USS Cole Bombers?
the bombing happened a week before the 2000 election.

Clinton had a bear of a time getting Yemen to cooperate.

IIRC, Yemen threw out US investigators.

Some elements were very quick to blame bin Laden with little evidence.

Did Bush ever bring the bombers of the USS Cole to justice?

Can't have the common folk learning that "the terruhists"
have alot of friends in common with B*SH, now can we?

3. Bush -well his handlers- thought Clinton was too obsessed with
terrorism. They didn't do anything about the USS Cole before 9-11. I don't recall if they did prosecute anybody offhand. If they did, it took awhile.

6. Did they ever figure out who those folk are?
I suspect they may be the same ones they are currently hunting, dead or alive.

7. Yemen nabbed most of them and threw them in jail;
eventually there was some sort of trial, and they stayed in jail for a while.

Then there was a jailbreak; they were mostly out of jail at that point. There was suspicion of the police being bought, of tribes rushing to their defense, etc., etc.

I'm not sure where the story leads after that, but Yemen's had a bit of unrest and I wouldn't be surprised if they were mixed up in al-Qa'ida, or if some of the people weren't later killed in later violence.

8. You have to remember....
That Bush and the rest of the Repug party chided Clinton for treating terrorism as a "law enforcement problem." I can't tell you how many times I've seen Repug spinmisters on tv, berating Clinton for treating terrorism as a law enforcement problem.

Imagine that! We HAD a President who wanted to put terrorists through our criminal justice system and prosecute them! What a hell of a dumb idea!

12. Ambr. Barbara Bodine, repuke, prevented Agent John O'Neill's investigation
He had to return from Yemen to NY. When he tried to return to interrogate a particularly tasty suspect (who's name I have forgotten), Bodine blocked his visa request. *co was in office at the time, and the guvament had been placed on pre-911 terrorist ignore status.

Frontline did an amazing show on John P. O'Neill

13. I believe a missile was launched by the CIA about 2 years after the
incident and it killed two of the people supposedly involved. The missile was sent after 9/11.
