with deep (misguided) convictions and principles,
who had no idea how funny he was.

Rush is a pompous professional hatemonger,
cynically misguiding his despised fans to the detriment of his country,
with deep pockets filled with profits from broadcasting hypocrisy,
(and a criminal drug habit)
who thinks he’s funny.
