Democracy or one party dictatorship?

I can't help but feel if the republicans go "nuclear", which requires breaking Senate rules and having the Vice President then interpret Senate rules, technically we would become a one party dictatorship (especially since they will seize the courts in a manner of speaking). It just doesn't seem to square with a democracy where more more than one voice is allowed. Am I wrong?

but "we" are already there. These "skirmishes" about the court or other things are merely theater.

4. Somewhat, but not technically

in that right now, this course could be reversed. Once they go nuclear, it will become difficult, even with democratic party victories in the next elections.
