4. Yeah, what with 100s of tons of untraceable high explosives
on the loose, and little chance of stopping it from coming into Europe, I'd be starting to get worried if not for the fact that The World is Safer Place(tm). Thank God for that.

Baghdad on the Thames.

2. my thoughts and prayers are with you and the British
Damn bush for not uniting the world against terrorism, instead of dividing it, and starting a war which had NOTHING to do with terrorism

6. A war that had nothing to do with terrorism? It certainly did, any
thinking, cogent, still breathing individual knew eary on that making war on a country that had been bombed and sanctioned into near extinction would sort of swell the ranks of those who view bombing from the air a bit harsh. You can take a bow now george.

9. I was just thinking of posting the same thing.
I'm in England (but not in London), and watching the coverage on the BBC, and a few minutes ago I had exactly the same thoughts as you. If Bush hadn't had such a hard-on for invading Iraq and finished the job he promised he'd do after 9/11, finding bin Laden, then America wouldn't have gone full-bore into a war with Iraq. If America had not gone to war with Iraq, then Tony Blair would not have committed Britain to it. If Britain had not entered the war, today would not have turned out as it has.

Bottom line, if there weren't a war in Iraq, this carnage today would not have happened. For Bush, everything goes back to 9/11; he does not understand that what's happened today is a consequence of his bloody war. He owns it, and everything that has happened as a result can be laid at his feet.

No matter how you slice it, it always comes back to Bush, doesn't it? God, I hate that man. I truly do. I expect he'll be on TV later talking about how we have to keep fightin' them terra-ists because they hate us for our freedoms and that's why they set off bombs in London, and that's why we'll have to "stay the course" in Iraq.

3. I can just picure Blair's lip quivering now, and his moist eyes calling
on Britons to stick together bla bla bla like his peoples princess speech.

He will use these poor peoples deaths to push through his authoritarian agenda because he's a politician and thats what they're like.

I think this will be bad for him rather than increase suport like America.

I just hope there are not too many killed, poor souls.

5. As a result of what happened today, Blair has more to answer for.
I hope his fellow Labourites will bring pressure to him to remove British forces from Iraq. Because of his willingness to join Bush in his adventure into Iraq, he made the British people moving targets.

8. As a fellow atheist let me tell you...
you have to fight for justice here, on this earth, because that's the only place these bastards will face justice and judgment. My thoughts are with you and your countrymen.

10. I also!

I comfort myself with the knowledge that these people live in a hell of their own devising.
