BBC expert: Al-qaida cell claiming responsibility unheard of before
This was from Frank Gardner live on bbc just now. (same person who came with the news of the claims on the bbc)
That the message found claiming to be from the secret alqaida in europe (or whatever) is not a known al-qaida group or cell.
not that this tells us anything at the moment but i think its relevant.

1. Generally, Sir
These groups coalesce for the operation. The similarity to late 19th and early 20th century Anarchist operations in techique is striking....

6. they do,just felt that it was important to state untill facts surface
There is a big difference between a posting on a forum from a unknown group claiming Al-Qaida connection and one that already has a history of messages claiming Al-Qaida connections.
The similarity in technique is common to most clandestine organisations for the obvious reason that "cell-based" asymmetrical warfare is the only efficient "technique" available for these organisations

2. Yes, it is relevant
Where did this cell come from? Maybe I'm spinning here, or putting on the tin foil hat, but it is too strange. Or maybe this attack is just an attack by a terrorist cell, plain and simple. But that in itself brings up the other point that we are NO safer since 9/11. Another bad apple in the Bushco barrel.

4. So how soon will we be in Iran?
When will this be shown to be what it really is, an excuse to attack Iran?

5. one station talked about an AQ offshoot - an AQ wannabe,
Algerians, Saudis and Moroccans.

I think it shows our actions in Iraq are growing terror, not fighting it.

8. is there any factual basis for "Algerians, Saudis and Moroccans"
or was this just the radio station speculating?
and agreed, terror will grow from Iraq, if only because of Iraqi's seeking revenge for killings of family as Iraq is , from what i understand, a deeply tribal society where family ties are strong.

7. I think this is very relevant. We have been lied to over and over by
the BushCo henchmen about Al Qaeda did this and Al qaeda did that. Until there is an investigation, we don't know WHO did it. If they will fake OBL confession tapes of 9-11, they will fake this. Just be open. BushCo want a war against the Muslims and they want to save their smarmy skins, they will do anything at this point. ANYTHING.

10. It does seem very strange indeed that the attack was on the
London transportation system rather than the G-8. It was a very synchronized set up attacks. It just seems on likely that the kind of precision required for the London attacks was not at a prominent target, but just ordinary passengers on ordinary trains and buses. It seems strange that the terrorist did not strike the G-8 or some prominent London monument since they were obviously already in the country. I hope that all of the 9-11 skeptics will be on top of this one.

11. The G-8 has too much security
these folks like 'soft' targets, it's so much easier. Beside, what better time to attack then when London has half their security personal up in Scotland?
