Interesting Bush Observations

I have been watching and listening this morning to this tragedy, I have close friends and business associates in London who I have been very concerned about (Luckily I have been able to get in touch with a few of them).

In my observations and from some in Great Britian, it's almost as if Bush is having a problem with not being "in charge" of this. He is maybe even concerned that he is going to be upstaged by Blair, perhaps even worried that Blair will make the "right" decisions regarding terrorists (hell, perhaps even going after the real culprits) and distance himself from Bush and his maniacal agenda. When Bush made his statement a few moments ago, he stuttered and stammered about, looking like a little kid jealous that his friend got a shiny new bicycle - not a friend genuinely concerned about the well-being of his fellow man. Very telling.

This is going to be a defining moment and perhaps the tide will turn against the terrorists, both the extremist Muslim type and the extremist Republican type.

2. I had exactly the same thought watching Bush behind Blair

Bush had to come out and speak with reporters and tell us that he had an opportunity to spend time with Blair. Wonder if other leaders held conference with reporters from their home countries - or just Bush.

I don't think he liked being being the scenes, not in charge.

People will be comparing reactions of Bush/Blair to 9/11 vs. London. Blair immediately goes to the scene.

3. Yes - Very Interesting

When the country was looking for leadership from their government, Blair stepped up to the plate. As much as I dislike his being a lap dog for Bush on the terror issue, he had the common sense to at least appear to be doing the job he was elected to do - that is be a leader and take charge of a tragic event. He wasn't concerned with scaring world leaders or even leaving the G8 summitt, he knew that his first duty was to his country. His statement was good and to the point, he didn't fill it with tough-man speak and bravado.

Contrast that with Bush on 9/11.

My focus on Blair kept getting pulled away by Bush's shifty eyes. I just knew he was thinking "I should be talking! They should be paying attention to ME!"

5. What if Blair decides to get the hell out of Iraq

or to stop being Bush's poodle? Its not like he has international friends to spare.

6. The British people have already had it with Iraq

This could be the push they have been waiting for.

7. Last I heard...

...the British MoD was planning a gradual withdraw of troops from Iraq. I heard this around July 4th.

I have little doubt this is why the Terrorists decided to strike London, to try and "speed things up", so to speak.

I, too, have friends in Manchester.... and they are already in agreement that Blair should not have backed the Shrub with his fake war and lies... now THEY are paying for it with their lives...

Did Shrub REALLY think these people - falsely attacked - would just lay down and roll over for him? GMAB.

We will pay... we may win the war, but the battles are gonna be hellacious!

11. he should be worried, Spain pulled out of Iraq after attack there

and then voted in gay marriage. Maybe both were a backlash to the insanity of the current crop of republicans in this country. Ya know, cowboys were not as romantic as many Americans think and obviously most of Europe thinks. Some of them, like Bush, were bullying gunslingers with horrendous egos.
