There's always going to be some panic selling after something like this.
I never recommend that anyone buy anything on margin just because of unexpected events which are, by definition, unexpected. If you are forced to sell at the bottom to cover your margin, you can't ride it out. You're just screwed. This is how people I knew lost anywhere from hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions when the markets opened again after 9-11.

The Oil companies are just doing the same thing that the people selling ice for $10.00 a bag were doing in Miami, after the huge hurricane back in the 90s when Poppy B. was prez! The only difference is, the Guys selling the ice back then, went to jail!
