Why the hell isn't Bob Novak being pressured to discuss Plame? |
|
Seriously!
I mean, it's a good start with Cooper and Miller but personally I think we're going after the wrong people. Bob Novak is the one in cahoots with Rove and yet he's getting off scott-free while Judith Miller sits in a jail cell.

1. He's already testified |

and pulled a plea-bargain. Or so the theory goes.

3. That's the theory that I keep hearing but... |
|
...unless I'm missing something, I don't understand exactly what they would need with Woodruff and Cooper if Novak has already sung. And he was the one who wrote the article. What could Woodruff and Cooper tell them that Novak hasn't already told them if he has cooperated?

Fitzgerald needs backstory to every angle in this case. If Novak is a star witness, one needs additional evidence to corroborate his story. We know that Novak was not the only journalist who was contacted to volunteer Plame's identity. We do not know that there was only one source to the leak.
If Fitzgerald can pinpoint who called these journalists, then he can identify who might have provided them with this information among the extremely small number of people who are entitled to know this classified data.

7. Gotcha. That makes sense... |
|
...and in the meantime that dumbass Judy Woodruff in willing to go to jail to protect whoever the crook is who gave her this classified data. She deserves to rot in there.

4. He's under orders from Fitzgerald not to talk about his testimony. |
|
If he did, he'd violate his agreement with the prosecutor that kept him from being indicted. Routine.
