Purely on a personal level, can I just say that George W. Bush is
the LAST goddamn human being I want to hear from in a time of crisis?

I never enjoy listening to him, but by God hearing him pontificate at a time like this is so VERY bad for the blood pressure.

Sorry, everyone, we tried to send him back to Crawford,

The Plaid Adder

1. Don't worry Plaid...
We'll get 'em.
We got people ( I almost used the word "folks" like the chimp) out there like yourself who are doing great work.

Take a deep breath and remember this simple tome...

"Nothing lasts forever"

2. you just have to let it go
Bush will always be Bush, just like DeLay will always be DeLay and Cheney will always be Cheney. You can't change jerks like that. If you let it get the best of you then you'll end up heading to an early grave. He jerks my chain, something fierce, but I learned to relax a little. Back when I was a columnist and couldn't let any of this stuff go, it started to effect my health. I had to force myself to not nearly have a stroke everytime I heard the word "Republican." haha.

3. Watching him next to "me too tony" wasn't pretty either!
At least tony was on his way to London, not flying around the nation waiting to see if London was safe for him ...

15. Are you referring to Blair's address on behalf of the G8 participants?
There was Great Leader looking like a total doofus. Downturned mouth, stupid look on his face, and when Blair finished his address did you notice that Dimson** visibly took a deep breath as if he had been speaking?

Watching him is not good for my blood pressure.

4. I feel the same way about bush. To see his smug face and hear..
his same old rhetoric makes me sick. He will be using this to justify his war and I believe this is a result of his war. Sending him back to Crawford is the only way to go.

6. It's all about him
Always.

He has no clue what is appropriate to express in a situation such as this.

7. It Is Maddening. But Hearing Him Speak Extemporaneously ...
... is also a frightening look into how his brain works (or *doesn't* work as the case may be).

...approve of the job he is doing (see Rassmussen poll posts).

He needs to keep his mouth shut. He is no comfort to anyone and he has nothing worthwhile to say.

11. I have
the same reaction to him and try to avoid 'direct' contact. I am so saddened by the events in London this morning - and find the thought that this is what comes from 'lies and liars' repeating in my mind. This is Bush's legacy. He is toxic.

 to all who are sad and discouraged today. Tomorrow, we will take to the ramparts again.

i would rather see london's mayor give the speeches and such. Why is it that city mayors do a better job in a time of crisis than world leaders? kinda sad isn't

14. Yes, you can!
Personally, every time I see him I have to grab hold of something to keep myself from sticking my hand thru the TV to slap his stupid face into next year.

16. It's nightmarish.
A man who probably can't dress himself.

And then it gets worse, and the criminals we call his government use the photo op. Chertoff is up soon.

19. Bush's lack of human feeling is evident at times like this.
A simple, heartfelt expression of sadness & support would be suitable, but he lacks sincere empathy. He waited until a politically useful statement could be prepared.

Of course, in Scotland he's far from the danger. Otherwise, he'd still be cowering under a desk.

21. not a comfort
Sneering war monger thinks he's king of the world. Maybe it was a CIA operation anyway. They needed to change the subject.
