Do they hate our English way of life? Do ETA hate the Spanish way of life?
Just a thought?

1. the IRA and the ETA hated the imperialism |
|
of the British and Spanish governments respectively
I don't know about the ETA, but the IRA has turned into nothing more than a bunch of thugs, no better than a gang of common criminals

2. All terrorist groups end up becoming a Mafia unless they have |

an enlightened leadership. Some become addicted to the violence or the adrenaline rush that accompanies committing acts of violence.

5. The IRA had nothing to do with this attack. |

Just as the ETA had nothing to do with the Madrid bombings. At least Blair is smart enough not to try to dump this on the IRA.
NO bombing has anything to do with "hating a way of life." That little phrase came from Bush's speechwriters. Terrorist bombers tend to be defending their own "way of life" from what they see as imperialism. Not that I think that's a correct response.

It's more likely that it was Geronimo and the Apaches than it was the IRA. No sensible person would consider the IRA as a potential suspect here.
