Journalist on CSPAN this AM said something amazingly STUPID re: Wilson
I wasn't paying attention to who she was. I caught only a second of her stint on Washington Journal. But in response to Joseph Wilson's statement about Judith Miller and Valerie Plame being collateral damage in the Bushist war against transparency in its policy-making, this representative of "mainstream" journalism responded that Wilson's statement was clearly political and that Bushist secrecy was, in her estimation, more a product of the world since 9/11.

Does this woman not remember how the Bushists behaved BEFORE 9/11? Does she not remember the energy policy committee? The executive orders to deny access to presidential papers? The movement of Bush's governorship papers to the vaults of his daddy's library? Does she not, in other words, have her eyes open to who and what these fuckers are?

:wtf:

2. Radio - TV Journalists, she was a representative
of a professional organization.

And she was full of it. I enjoyed one caller who said she hoped Miller thinks about her anonymous sources every day she's in jail, and of all the people who have died as a result of her rotten reporting.

3. Shoot! I missed that comment.
As I say I only caught a second of her bullshit, and that was enough.

6. She got it from the right, as well.
A winger called to tell her to take her head out of the clouds and realize that too many journalists don't meet the ethical standards of their publications.

5. There are idiots in the media.
An "expert" from CNN reminded people that Wilson wrote his column to as a critic of the war in Iraq. Just a total idiot, who doesn't have a fucking clue, feigning insight.

7. And the subtext is, Joe Wilson criticized the war so
he got what he deserved.

8. Right.
Joe is unAmerican. The fact that Wilson had not spoken out against the war per say, but was calling the administration on their lies, gets lost in the smear.

9. Joseph Wilson was sent to Africa to confirm the Administration's claims..
not to discredit them. He did something unforgivable in the world of George Bush and Karl Rove. He contradicted their lies. So they set out to destroy him, by going after his wife, and whatever they could do. Unfortunately for them, Wilson did not roll over. He fought back. So now Karl Rove is in hot water because their independent prosecutor has come back knocking on their door.
