3. I have to look for a link. It was reported at least twice on local NBC

news. It is an operation called TOMS, and was to take place in I believe 76 stations.

Train Order Maintenance Sweeps,“TOMS”, are deployed to arrest fare evaders and others, who's initial low level offences are often precursors of more serious crimes in the subway system. TOMS may discourage or even intercept a terrorist attack.

It was probably a report about the subway security going to defcon 2 and how successful the drills in the past were.
