Who's betting the terrorists are from Iran?
Can't you just see Rumsfeld running around right now telling them to find a link between Iran and the London bombings? How long before we see 19 Iranian faces all caught by our capable intelligence people?

1. Count me in
Iran was the first thing that I thought of after I heard of the new.

Well after thinking about the people that got hurt in the blasts, of course.

2. I doubt it
It's possible, I won't deny that, but it would surprise me. Because whatever bounce Bush gets from todays attacks it doesn't adress the underlying problem; we don't have the troops to do both Iran and Iraq at the same time.

13. Of course we don't.

Which is why they need the program of whipping up anti-Iran ferver before there is a similar, or worse, attack at home which would justify a draft.

Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 11:13 AM by mtnester
whether they actually were or not is moot, YOU know that (HEAVY :sarcasm:)

---apologies to everyone today for my smart assiness throughout the threads today....this is a horrible day for many families, and it seems my sadness has made me even more bitter toward our shitty president than I ever thought I could be. I THOUGHT I was as bitter as the next gal...I found out today I could go deeper into the bitter well, and that then pissed me off more....and then the snowball started moving...well, I am living a vicious anger cycle today.

19. Wasn't it reported that
N Korea was helping Iran with Nuclear weapons? If so, how stupid would it be to invade a country that really did have something they could use against us!!! Maybe I'm totally misinformed!

Instead of waiting around for the media plants to kick in, why don't we just call and find out who we're supposed to attack?

28. They may very well be...
We should also consider the possibility that these terrorist operatives could very well have connections with Iran. I don't understand all the passes given by some here at DU to the most socially conservative, extremist government on the planet: IRAN. They very well could be financing terrorism. Why that could be greeted with such skepticism here is odd to me. They are a fanatical fascist regime.

29. Anything is possible...the likelihood of the terrorists coming from
the very place that BushCo has been drumming up excuses to invade is very low. Just like it was non-existent with Saddam/911.

Why people like you find it easy to believe things that BushCo says when it's proven that they lie over and over again is beyond me.

I guess we'll never understand each other huh?
