On the heels of the explosion in London--gas prices have gone up $0.12 a gallon today here in Texas. Friend up north said their gas prices shot up 80 cents today.

1. Yup, home heating oil too... |
|
Up at $2.10 a gallon here in Maine...doesn't look like we're going to have any 'window' of purchase opportunity before the winter...I pre-bought 400 gallons today even at that price just because I think it will be up around $3.00 by winter (plus there may be shortages), and my little house needs to be at least 67 this winter!)

2. Those people should be prosecuted. Just like the ones after 9/11 |
|
who were charging upwards of $5 a gallon in some places.
After 9/11 I went around to every local gas station I knew of that raised its prices dramatically (many didn't) and told them that I would remember them as sleazy opportunists and would tell everyone I know to never give them a dime again.

Oil just went to a record high this week, $61 a bbl. So I must say it isn't a big surprise and I suggest you ain't seen nothing yet...
