A political, i.e. human "machine", chooses to kill for whatever . . . .
A similar machine killed Jesus and has ever since. Jesus was innocent, so was everyone from 9/11 and Bush's War, and the other countries where terrorists struck.
Maybe it's just a pretty story we tell ourselves to deal with the ugliness: Jesus is a teacher; he is telling us something about ourselves, something useful to growth. Sometimes I wonder if people really get Christianity at all. It seems as though the New Testament has been forgotten.
What is the Good News?
We're killing people to help them.
