Will the neocons stop justifying torture now? |
|
No you say? Yeah, I'm not that optimistic either. I want it noted however that many Bush lovers have justified the use of torture as a means of extracting information from terrorists who are being held at Gitmo. There was no warning of the attacks in London this morning. If torture supposedly worked, then wouldn't there have been prior warning?
And as an off topic side note: I have many serious issues with Tony Blair but I want to bring up the fact that he got on a helicopter and went back home after the attacks. No 'My Pet Goat' readings, no secret flights to who knows where all day, etc. We like to make fun of Blair for being Bush's poodle, but when faced with a terrorist situation that demands the presence of leadership, at least he's up to the task. end of rant.

1. And what about being about compassion not hate??? |
|
That's what Bush keeps saying about us today. We're about compassion and the terrorists are about hate. Oh, really??? Can you explain Gitmo and Abu Gharib then?

3. he said that??? how insane! |

"compassion" is a pretty big word...lots of letters and syllables. My bet is that he has no idea what the hell he's talking about because there's nothing compassionate about him or his administration.
