What didn't happen today may be important. |

Yes, the explosions in London were terrible. The sudden, unexpected deaths and injuries horrify us all. But as far as has been reported, they were JUST that. Explosions. Some type of plastique, or TNT, or whatever.
Not deadly germs, not mushroom clouds, not poison gas. If Al Queda, or whoever is responsible, could have gotten their hands on so-called WMDs, why wouldn't they have used them?
As bad as it is, it could have been worse. I am somewhat encouraged. Barely.

1. They're saving it for us. |
|
Sorry. Didn't mean to ruin your day. I'm feeling a wee bit cynical about the state of the world and the incompetents in charge of our security.

2. I know what you mean about the cynicism. |

I'm also pretty much in a constant state of paranoia too. It may run in the family. My daughter (in Boston) got up and saw the news this morning. Her husband usually takes the T into his office. She said "Honey, why don't I drive you in this morning". 'At's my girl.

4. I admit feeling uneasy. |
|
I mean, hell, the BushCo/neoCON cabal have dramatically increased the risk to our security by their stupid, divisive, destructive acts.
Geez. How could any rational person preclude the increased likelihood that we are going to suffer some serious blowback?

3. This is a calculated move to discredit Tony Blair, Bush's poodle, |
|
especially since Bush was on British soil and not in Crawford where his handlers would have insulated him from knowing a lot about any terrorist attack abroad.
Of course the White House will spin it as, "Bush was right about his war on terrorism because there were terrorist attacks after all. So let's go invade Syria and Iran and get those terrorists. There's only a few of them anyway and we're winning."
:sarcasm: has no words.

6. YES. Exactly. G8 leaders, including Bush, are in the UK right now. |
|
And London crumbled at their feet today. I agree 100% with you, Cleita.

5. Why would the Bush/ Blair cartel want to destroy the economy? |
|
They want to get their message across, but keep us working hard so that the markets do not suffer.
