1. That's definitely not something Al Qaeda would do.

The Quran is not like the Bible, by which I mean it wouldn't be an accident of translation, since the Quran is not translated traditionally, and is taught and memorized in Arabic. There aren't multiple translations and transliterations as there are with various biblical translations.

So while I still believe the attacks are Al Qaeda based on the multiple coordinated attacks, I don't think that responsibility claim is credible in the least.

spend years doing nothing more than memorizing the Quran.

It has nothing to do with "scholars" but with the mentality of fundamentalism.

I doubt seriously that anyone associated with Al Qaeda would misquote the Quran.

2. Christian hate groups mis-quote and mis-interpret the Bible...

7. Because Christian hate groups don't spend hours daily rocking

back and forth over their Bibles memorizing them word for word as the students at Madrasas and other schools which are one of the primary sources for Al Qaeda recruiting do.

And, as I already mentioned, there are not numerous translations with varying degrees of accuracy of the Quran as there are with the Bible.

It is VERY unlikely that Al Qaeda would misquote the Quran. Misinterpret what it teaches definitely, but misquote it, not likely.

11. True-- for according to Muslims

the Qur'an is the revelation of God, through the angel Gabriel (Allah via Jibril) to Muhammad.

In other words-- we're not talking a history, a narrative, etc.

We're talking the final message.

What does one take w/ this?

1) God chose to reveal his final message in Arabic
2) Hence, Arabic-- key language
3) God does not screw up grammar
4) Hence, the grammar of the Qur'an is impeccable
5)Centuries of scholars have memorized Qur'an
6) Early grammarians based their study of Arabic on Qur'anic Arabic

In other words-- someone made a bigass typo booboo or its totally bogus.
