4 named storms so far, one could be a major one.
This is likely to be more the norm for years and years to come.
Warmer water facilitates more frequent and stronger storms, not to mention the hotter land masses in west africa.
When someone says that Global warming is only talking about a 1/2 degree centigrade in X years or something, remember that this is a global temperature difference, local changes (both warmer and colder) could be much larger... and with severe impacts on our climate.
