Will Bush pardon himself in his final day in office ? |
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 05:42 PM by kentuck
For crimes that were discovered or that will be discovered in the future after he leaves office? For lying to the American people about going to war? For lying to the Congress of the United States? For lying to the United Nations and the world? For using the outlawed napalm in war? For stealing money from the US Treasury? For colluding with characters like Ken Lay and the energy moguls? Would he attempt such a thing? Don't laugh. That's the way the moron operates.

2. If he's not a complete idiot, he will. |
Or, if he's impeached, Cheney will pardon him. If both are impeached, Hastert will pardon him. If both Bush and Cheney are impeached and Democrats control the House, of course, ain't nobody going to pardon his ass. In that case, it's frog-march time.

3. When impeachment becomes inevitable... |
...Republican congresscritters will have a meeting with Bush and Cheney. A deal will be made. A pardon will be guaranteed, Bush and Cheney (Cheney first) will resign, and congressional Republicans will tell them who will replace them.

4. That's more-or-less how it worked when Nixon resigned. |
Agnew went first, and Nixon appointed Ford as VP. Then Nixon resigned and Ford pardoned him. To great outrage on the left, I should add.
