2)British stay in Iraq.
3)Bush has everyone's ear at the summit.

Now all we have to do is figure out why they didn't chose 5/5/05 or 2/5/2005 or 5/02/2005 or 6/6/2004 or 5/5/2003 or 8/8/2006, then Bush and his whole wizard gang will be stopped.

Thanks so much for sharing that the number 2005 doesn't mean five more than two thousand, but actually equals 7.

I feel so much more educated now that I know that.

And in five year,s I'm sure I'll benefit from knowing that 2010 actually equals, ah, would that be 12?

10. 7 is the biblical number of perfection and three 7's is a further
sign of perfection. While 6 falls short and 666 is of course evil.

This is obviously a big part of christain numerology. BTW, love the trifecta comment.

11. 777 is Christian symbolism
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 08:49 PM by Horse with no Name
Pulled from a freaky website:
"Just as 666 is the number of the name of the beast who is the Antichrist (Revelation 13:18) the number 777 is the number of the name of Santachrist who is the True Messenger of God who is of course myself who will under the direction of our Lord Jehovah God lead the unrighteous away from the path of the serpent Nahosh and on to the baptism in the blood of the Lamb which is the perfecting of the saints as found in Ephesians 4:12."
http://777.nventure.com/faq.htm

So does this mean we can blame the fundies?

On edit: Found this also.
http://www.bright.net/~wsomers/nrchurch.html

The Four Questions about the number 777:
a. What does it mean?

777 stands for the church in perfection.

b. How is it connected to biblical prophecy?

I take it to be a prophecy that the church will in fact come to perfection.

c. Is there any written documentation to what it means and if so where can I find it? the bible does not mention it anywhere that I can tell.

I refer you to Del Washburn's book. You can check on the World Wide Web at www.theomatics.com

d. Is there any documentation that this number will be assign to person to indicate or bare witness that biblical prophecy is going to come true.

No. This number is the number of the church in perfection. Therefore when the church does come to perfection that will be a sign that the rest of biblical prophecy is going to come true.

So...basically...777 can mean anything you want it to. Judging by the completely different analogies. Who is correct? Is anyone correct?

24. Not really. It's very Qabalistic.
(And as you said, that's a freaky website.)

Now, from my freaky website:

"To a Qabalist, 777 is 'traditionally the number of the Flaming Sword or creative Lightning Flash...which, when overlain on the Tree of Life, touches every Sephirah in turn and certain Paths, with a total of 777.' 777 is the title of Aleister Crowley's celebrated volume of Qabalistic teachings."

27. On June 10, I "predicted" July 7 as the date for another attack
It seemed logical at the time. catmandu57 asked, "Which date rolls off the tongue like 911? 711? If you believe in lihop or mihop, you've got to believe that the 11 September date was chosen because of it's relevance to the Psyche. 911 everyone knows 911, everyone knows 711 as well, just as 411 was the date for the Spanish attack.
Being a gambling man I'm inserting 711 in my dead pool, with the setbacks the monkeyboy* is being handed, with his drop in the polls, kkkarl is going to have to make a move soon, I'm putting my money on 7 come 11.

Somewhere, there has to be an event rigged to get the sheeple waving old glory again, it's in the wings warming up it's palpable. The further we get into summer the more nervous I get.

My reply:

Try 7-7.

MIHOP for 9/11 because it's always in our face. Look at any police car, open any phone book, there it is. 9.1.1.

7-11 would remind us every time we saw one of those convenience stores, eh? But 7-7 would blow everyone's mind because it's such a "lucky" sounding date.

When is bush's birthday again? July 6, I believe. What a birthday present for the boy king.

I think it's not beyond the realm of imagination that these people deliberately choose dates which will "stick" in people's minds.

33. These digs at the OP regarding numerology are a little wearisome.
We live in a universe of mathematics. If some people interpret events as having numerically-based patterns, that's fine. After all, most of us know our Zodiac sign, which is based on another creative interpretation of the universe. Other people believe in the application of feng shui to introduce harmony and prosperity into their lives, and of course there's always the myriad of choices that the religions of the world offer to someone who's looking for something outside of themselves to make sense of what's going on in the world.

But I digress. Back to my point of defending those who think numerology may be at play: I remember reading many years ago that Toyota uses numerology, so I did a quick search and came up with this:

“I’m only an apprentice now — in the Toyoda family, the company and the board — so the time is not right for me to be speaking about being a member of the founding family,” he said during a recent interview at Toyota’s Tokyo headquarters. Toyota the company takes a “t” instead of the “d” in the family’s name because that was considered luckier in Japanese numerology.

http://www.rgj.com/news/stories/business/974078214.php

So, let's not mock screambloodymurder, as Toyota has managed to beat the pants off the American car market, eh?

And some people believed that voting Republican would keep us safe, bring prosperity, and "save marriage."

Just because 51% of the population does something does not make it either smart or sane or respectable.

On edit:
For what it's worth, I don't think I have engaged in personally denigrating the original poster.

Okay, maybe I said he might be The Antichrist, but everyone knows I wasn't serious, because that idea was based on Numerology, which is most certainly one of The Dumbest Ideas of All Time, and one which I obviously do not believe.

I'm not saying the original poster is stupid.

I'm just saying he believes in one of the most stupid things that any civilized and educated human being could possibly bring themselves to believe.

I'm criticizing the idea, not the person.

I am sure he has a very intelligent understanding of many, many things.

For example, I presume he is in the top 49% of the population that knew better than to vote for Bush.
