Today's attack was simply atrocious. This attack was an assault on humanity itself. In reality, thousands will die because of this attack.

The G-8 will be focused on terrorism, the Environment and Africa will no longer be major concerns of this Conference.

The innocent people who died today and those who will die in the future will find their place in Heaven.

7. As you know by now...

DUers do not hold "Muslims" responsible for the terrorist acts. We KNOW that the terrorists are terrorists who happen to be Muslim. The same way we don't hold all Christians responsible for the invasion of Iraq. Our prezeldent trying to imply that God told him to invade Iraq is just as bad as what the terrorists are doing in the name of Allah.

This vicious act was rooted in hate, NOT faith. As a Christian, I felt the same need to express my shame and disgust when the bombs rained on Baghdad.

11. I feel great sorrow and compassion for the Brits now, but I noticed

on the Lehrer News Hour that in the brief synopsis of the events in Iraq, there was a single sentence something like "Six people died in _______ (fill in the blank) from a roadside bomb" (not sure of the exact words). Every day since the war started scenes similar to those in London have been taking place in Iraq.

Of course, nobody worries or frets about the death of these Iraqis who are dying every day from bombs just as maliciously placed and detonated. About 100,000 have died overall in Iraq as a result of the war, most because of US bombing but many also from the bombs of the insurgency.

Should we not also feel compassion for these dead?

I couldn't help thinking what I would imagine people in the Middle East are thinking now: "Now you know what it feels like to the Iraqis."

And it will come to America soon as well, probably when we finally decide to leave the country and the terrorists don't have the soldiers and complicit civilians in Iraq to target.

I agree brother, but this day many hands are bloody and many have committed barbarous acts.

Hundreds of thousands have already died. This is just more blood on top of the vast amount already shed by the bush cabal. An eye for an eye, blood for blood....

A cycle that can only end once one or both sides decide to stop the bloodshed, or one side is dead.

I also deplore the barbarism from both sides. Murder is murder wither if delivered in a package in a subway station or dropped from high above. English women and children, Iraqi women and children.. the result is the same, Dead is dead.

At the same time we also have to remember that this is a war that the US and England chose to indulge in by attempting to provoke Iraq into war with pre-emptive bombing, and when that failed they carried out an illegal invasion, one that was sold to the English and American people with lie after lie.

"Bring it on", said our brave leader, safe in his fortress. "We fight the terrorists in Iraq so we don't have to fight them here", was his latest lie/excuse.

Let us remember who wanted to engage in this folly, because in the end it's not people like Bush and Blair who die in these wars of theirs, it's people like you and me... and those Iraqi children.

The "war" has hit home for the british. As per the request of the boy king, they have indeed brought it on.

We kill hundreds of thousands, they kill a few thousand... but the result is the same.

Murder is murder.

Another wiser leader once said, "If you kill one person, it is as if you have killed all of humanity, and if you save one life, it is as if you saved all of humanity".

All life is sacred. Ours and theirs.

I shall make dua for all involved, and ask that the almighty guides all of us into a path of wisdom, tolerance and forgiveness.

Because in the end, that's all that can save us.
