Will the soldiers go to a bomb shelter and let the prisoners drown or blow away? What do they do in this situation?

All "secure" buildings are used for shelter for all "residents." All ships in port go out to sea.
Most of the buildings are cement block or metal.

Although I'd think it's almost kharmic if Gitmo were destroyed by nature, I surely doubt that will happen.

If anything those fine folks won't notice a thing...their lemon chicken and pita bread will never get soggy. They'll be as snug as a terrorist in a rug while those poor little brown people outside the gates will watch their homes get destroyed...but that's ok, they're commies anyway. :sarcasm:

That seems hardly hurricane proof.
Bringing all the prisoners underground may deliver its own set of challenges.

if the prisoners were "tragically lost". It would certainly get the D.C. BOYS off the hook about detaining them indefinitely, torture, and all that nasty stuff they're accused of!
