Meet John Edwards in NYC – Tuesday, Sept 30th

Everyone in New York is invited to meet Senator Edwards and celebrate his candidacy for president with supporters from around the Metro Area in a great place with great music and an open bar. The details of this Late Night at LIGHT party are:

Where: LIGHT, 125 East 54th St. (between Park and Lexington Aves)
When: Tuesday, September 30th, 8:00p.m. – 10p.m. (Open Bar til 9:00)
Minimum Suggested Contribution: $100 (Ask about lower student rate).

1. Johnnnyyyyyyy, got no more caaaaassssshhhh...

If I would have saved that last donation to his campaign, LOL, I wouldn't be so strapped all these months later, and able to go to LIGHT to see him!

I'm SOOOOOOO upset.... :( I found out about this a few weeks ago, I'm trying to block it out of my mind, LOL.

Man, and that's (relatively) close to here...don't even get me started.

2. You should email that local group anyways

Are you a student? They have discounts for students. It is still a fundraiser, though. I would email [e-mail] if I were you, even if you can't go Tuesday. Edwards will be back to New York many times, and maybe you can meet him another time. I think I might be driving to Washington, DC, next Saturday, too, for the big DNC event. If I do, I might have some room in my car to carpool. If you're interested, post something here, then email me at [e-mail] (That way I can tell if it was really you who emailed me, not some joker pretending to be you).

3. Hey, thank you.

I can't make the DNC event either (this whole month I'm basically out of commission due to different things), but I will email the group--I hadn't read (or maybe missed) that they have special rates for students...I'm a grad student, that counts, right? If not, it makes me feel better to know he'll be back up NYC way again at some point.

I really appreciate the heads up--I would, though, love a recap of the night when you get a chance, either on the board or through a pm.

After four years of undergrad, grad students probably all have even less money left to spend on fund raisers. I'd bet that it counts.
